Oven emits a strong burning smell or smoke during normal cooking (not first use)

Safety: If there is heavy smoke, switch off the oven and ventilate the room. Avoid inhaling fumes.

• Inspect interior: Once cool, check elements, base, and fan cover for burnt-on food or grease.
• Clean thoroughly: Use an oven-safe cleaner and non-abrasive pads to remove deposits. Do not spray cleaner directly onto elements; wipe them with a damp cloth instead.
• Remove foil: Do not line the base or shelves with foil that can touch elements; this can cause burning and damage.
• Test run: After cleaning, run the oven empty at a moderate temperature to burn off any remaining residues.
