Possible Causes
Drifted oven temperature sensor, poor sensor connection at PCB, damaged sensor harness, main PCB miscalibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker.
- Inspect sensor and connector: Locate the oven temperature sensor inside the cavity and from the rear. Ensure the connector is tight and free of corrosion.
- Measure resistance: At room temperature, measure the sensor resistance. If it is significantly higher or lower than specification (~1080 Ω at 77°F), replace the sensor.
- Check harness continuity: If the sensor is in range, test continuity from the sensor connector to the main PCB connector to rule out wiring issues.
- Recalibrate (if available): Some LG Studio models allow temperature calibration in the settings menu. If the sensor is good but readings are off, adjust calibration by ±10–30°F as needed.
- If F22 persists with a new sensor: The main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
Note: Always disconnect power before removing the sensor from the oven wall.
