Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, blocked convection fan blade, wiring issue to fan motor, main PCB fan drive failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and allow the oven to cool.
- Check for obstructions: Remove oven racks and the rear interior cover (if removable) to inspect the convection fan. Ensure no foil, pans, or debris are blocking the blade.
- Spin test: Gently spin the fan blade by hand. It should rotate freely without grinding. If it is stiff or noisy, the motor may be failing.
- Access rear of unit: Remove the rear panel to reach the convection fan motor. Inspect wiring and connectors for burns or looseness.
- Test motor continuity: Disconnect the motor leads and check for continuity. An open motor indicates it must be replaced.
- If motor and wiring are good: The main PCB may not be supplying power to the fan; replacement of the PCB may be required.
Warning: Do not run the oven with the rear cover removed; this can expose live parts and hot surfaces.
