Possible Causes
Non-functioning cooling fan, blocked ventilation, failed high-limit thermostat, main PCB temperature monitoring fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and allow the oven to cool completely.
- Check ventilation: Ensure that the oven has proper clearance around cabinets and that front and rear vents are not blocked by foil, pans, or other appliances.
- Inspect cooling fan: Confirm that the cooling fan runs during and after cooking. If not, test and replace the cooling fan motor as needed.
- Check high-limit thermostat: From the rear, locate the high-limit thermostat (thermal cutoff) on the oven body. Test for continuity; if open, it must be replaced.
- Reset (if resettable type): Some thermostats have a small reset button. If present and tripped, press to reset after the oven is cool.
- If components are good but F31 persists: The main PCB may be misreading temperature and require replacement.
Warning: Repeated overheating can damage cabinetry and wiring. Do not continue use until the cause is corrected.
