Possible Causes
Failed door lock motor, jammed lock mechanism, broken lock linkage, wiring issue between lock motor and main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker. Do not force the door.
- Wait for cooling: If the error occurred during self-clean, allow the oven to cool fully; the lock may release on its own.
- Access lock motor: Remove the top or rear panel to reach the door lock motor assembly. Check for obvious mechanical jams or broken parts.
- Test motor: With power OFF, disconnect the motor and check for continuity. An open motor indicates it must be replaced.
- Check linkage: Ensure the lock arm moves freely and is not bent or obstructed.
- If motor and linkage are OK: Inspect wiring and connectors to the main PCB. If all is intact, the PCB may not be driving the motor and could require replacement.
Warning: Never attempt to pry the door open with tools; this can damage the glass and hinges.
