Possible Causes
Worn or damaged touch panel, loose ribbon cable, liquid damage to keypad, main PCB keypad interface fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the control panel.
- Clean surface: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the panel.
- Reseat ribbon cable: Remove the control panel and carefully disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable between the touch panel and PCB.
- Check for cracks or moisture: If the glass or membrane is cracked or shows signs of moisture ingress, replace the touch control panel assembly.
- If some keys work and others do not: This usually indicates a failing touch panel rather than the PCB; replace the panel first.
Note: Avoid using excessive liquid cleaners on the control panel to prevent future failures.
