Possible Causes
Open bake heating element, burned wire at element terminal, failed bake relay on main PCB, loose connection at terminal block
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before inspecting elements or wiring.
- Visual check of bake element: Inspect the lower element inside the oven for breaks, blisters, or burn spots.
- Test element continuity: From the rear, disconnect the bake element leads and check with a multimeter. Replace the element if open.
- Inspect wiring: Look for burned or loose wires at the element terminals and at the rear terminal block where the power cord connects. Repair or replace as needed.
- Check for 240V supply: Ensure the range is receiving full 240V (for electric models). A lost leg can cause no heat.
- If element and wiring are good: The bake relay on the main PCB may have failed; replace the main PCB.
Warning: Live voltage checks should only be performed by qualified persons.
