Possible Causes
User-activated control lock feature, Stuck lock button on keypad, Control board misinterpreting key presses
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the oven is not actively heating before troubleshooting controls.
- Disable control lock: Press and hold the designated lock key (often "Lock", "Control Lock", or a key with a padlock icon) for 3–5 seconds until LOC disappears.
- Check user manual: Some LG models use a combination of keys (e.g., holding "Start" for several seconds). Refer to the manual for your specific model.
- Keypad test: If LOC will not clear, some keypad buttons may be stuck. Clean the control surface and press each key firmly.
- Reset power: Turn the breaker OFF for 5 minutes, then ON. If LOC remains and cannot be cleared, the control panel or board may be faulty and require replacement.
