Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains power before removing any panels or touching wiring.
Element inspection:
- Visually inspect the lower (bake) and upper (grill) heating elements inside the cavity for blisters, cracks, or burn marks.
- Remove the rear panel (or internal covers) to access the element terminals.
- Disconnect one wire from each element and measure resistance with a multimeter. A typical element will read between 15–60 Ω depending on power rating.
- If an element reads open circuit (OL), it is defective and must be replaced with a Liebherr-compatible element.
Wiring and relay check:
- Inspect wiring from the elements to the power board for heat damage or loose spade connectors.
- Check the terminal block where mains power enters the oven for signs of overheating or loose screws.
- If elements and wiring are good, the heating relay on the control board may be faulty; replacement of the control module is usually required.
After replacing any faulty parts, reassemble, restore power, and test a standard bake cycle to confirm normal heating.
