Possible Causes

NTC sensor shorted internally, Moisture ingress into sensor probe, Pinched or damaged sensor cable, Shorted sensor connector at control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the oven from the mains supply before inspection.

Diagnosis steps:

  • Access the temperature sensor at the rear of the cavity or from the back panel.
  • Disconnect the sensor from the harness.
  • Measure resistance at room temperature. A shorted sensor will show near 0 Ω.
  • If shorted, replace the sensor with the correct Liebherr NTC probe.
  • Inspect the cable route for crushed insulation or contact with sharp metal edges; repair or replace damaged wiring.
  • Check the control board sensor connector for corrosion or bridging between pins; clean or replace as needed.

After replacement, clear the error by disconnecting power for 1–2 minutes, then test a low-temperature program.
