Possible Causes

Protective oils or coatings not burned off, Packaging material left inside, Spillage on hot surfaces, Overheated plastic trim or wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure good kitchen ventilation when running the oven at high temperatures.

Steps:

  • Confirm that all packaging, stickers, and plastic films have been removed from inside and outside the oven.
  • Run the oven empty at 200–250°C for 1–2 hours with good ventilation to burn off manufacturing residues (if not already done).
  • Inspect inside for any foreign objects or melted plastic; remove carefully.
  • If the smell persists and seems electrical or plastic-burning, disconnect power and have the wiring and insulation inspected by a technician.
