Possible Causes
Seized convection fan motor, Worn motor bearings, Obstructed fan blades, Faulty motor capacitor (if fitted)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains power. Allow the oven to cool fully before removing the rear panel or internal covers.
- Check fan operation: In fan modes (before isolating), listen for the convection fan at the rear of the cavity. If it hums but does not spin, or does not run at all, suspect the motor or capacitor.
- Access the fan: Remove the internal rear panel inside the oven cavity to expose the fan blade. Check for loose screws or food debris obstructing the blade.
- Spin test: With power off, spin the fan blade by hand. It should rotate freely. If stiff or grinding, the motor bearings are likely worn and the motor should be replaced.
- Rear access: Remove the oven from the cabinet and take off the rear cover to access the fan motor and wiring.
- Electrical tests: Check continuity of the motor windings with a multimeter. If open-circuit, replace the motor. If a separate start capacitor is fitted, test or temporarily substitute with a known-good capacitor of the same rating.
- Reassemble: Fit a new Logik-compatible convection fan motor if required, refit the fan blade securely, and ensure wiring is routed away from hot surfaces.
