Possible Causes
Open-circuit grill element, Faulty grill thermostat or limiter, Burnt wiring to grill element, Faulty relay on main control PCB for grill circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power. The grill area can remain hot for a long time; ensure it is cool.
- Confirm symptom: Select grill mode and observe whether the grill element glows red (before isolating). If it never heats or E08 appears, proceed.
- Access grill element: Remove the oven from the cabinet if necessary. The grill element is usually at the top of the cavity. Remove any cover plates and mounting screws.
- Test grill element: Disconnect the element terminals and measure resistance with a multimeter. Infinite resistance indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
- Check grill thermostat/limiter: Some Logik models have a separate grill thermostat or thermal limiter mounted near the grill. Test for continuity at room temperature. Replace if open.
- Inspect wiring: Look for heat-damaged wires or loose spade connectors at the grill element and thermostat. Replace any burnt connectors with high-temperature types.
- Control relay check: If the element and thermostat are good, the grill relay on the main PCB may not be energizing. Listen for a click when grill is selected. If absent and voltage is not present at the element, the PCB may require replacement.
