Possible Causes
Failed touch control panel, Damaged keypad membrane, Loose ribbon cable to display board, Liquid ingress into control fascia
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the mains before removing the control panel. Capacitors on the PCB can hold charge; avoid touching bare solder joints.
- Check for lock mode: Ensure the child lock is not active (refer to the user manual for the key combination to unlock). If still unresponsive, proceed.
- Inspect fascia: Look for signs of liquid spills or steam damage around the control panel. Dry the area thoroughly and allow time for moisture to evaporate.
- Access control panel: Remove screws securing the front control panel and gently pull it forward to expose the touch board and ribbon cables.
- Reseat cables: Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cables between the touch panel and the display/control PCB. Ensure they are fully inserted and locked.
- Visual inspection: Check for corrosion on connectors or burn marks on the touch board. If the keypad membrane is cracked or the touch board is damaged, replace the entire touch control assembly.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the panel, restore power, and test all buttons and functions.
