Possible Causes
Blown oven lamp, Shorted lamp holder, Damaged lamp glass causing moisture ingress, Faulty lamp circuit on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off power at the mains. The lamp cover and bulb may still be hot; allow to cool.
- Replace the bulb: Unscrew or unclip the glass lamp cover inside the oven. Remove the bulb (usually an E14 25W or 40W oven-rated bulb) and inspect the filament. Replace with a high-temperature oven bulb of the same type.
- Inspect lamp holder: Check the lamp holder for signs of burning, cracking, or corrosion. If damaged, replace the lamp holder assembly.
- Check for short: With the lamp removed, test the lamp holder terminals to chassis for continuity. There should be no continuity. If there is, the holder or wiring is shorted and must be repaired or replaced.
- PCB check: If a new bulb and holder do not restore operation and E13 persists, the lamp driver circuit on the main PCB may be faulty, requiring PCB replacement.
