Possible Causes
Overheated door lock motor, Jammed lock mechanism, Faulty lock position switch, Broken lock linkage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the mains. Do not force the door open; glass may shatter if stressed.
- Allow cooling: If the oven has just completed a high-temperature cycle, allow several hours for it to cool. Some locks remain engaged until a safe temperature is reached.
- Power reset: After cooling, restore power and see if the lock releases automatically. If E19 remains, proceed.
- Access lock from top/front: Remove the top panel or front control panel to reach the door lock assembly. You may see the lock arm or hook.
- Manual release: Using an insulated tool, gently move the lock lever to release the door while supporting the door to prevent sudden opening.
- Inspect mechanism: Check for bent parts, melted plastic, or broken springs. Replace the door lock assembly if damaged.
- Test lock switch: Use a multimeter to verify the lock position switch changes state when the lock moves. Replace if faulty.
