Possible Causes
Failed main power relay on PCB, Burnt relay contacts, Broken solder joints on relay pins, Faulty control signal from microcontroller
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power. PCB work involves live circuits; if unsure, use a professional.
- Listen for relay click: When a heating function is selected (before isolating), listen for a click from the control board area. No click suggests the relay is not energizing.
- Inspect PCB: Remove the top or rear cover to access the main control PCB. Look for a large relay labeled for heater or main.
- Check solder joints: Examine the underside of the PCB for cracked or dry joints on the relay pins. Resolder if necessary using appropriate tools.
- Test relay output: With power applied and extreme caution, a technician can measure voltage at the relay output to confirm operation. If the relay coil energizes but no output is present, replace the relay or PCB.
- Replace PCB: If the relay is integrated or the board is damaged, replace the entire main control PCB.
