Possible Causes
Manufacturing oils burning off elements, Food or grease on elements, Melted plastic or foil touching element, Overheating wiring or connectors
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If you see flames or heavy smoke, switch off power immediately and keep the door closed. For persistent burning smell with no visible cause, contact a technician.
- Initial burn-in: For a new or long-unused Logik oven, run it empty at 200–220°C for 30–60 minutes with good kitchen ventilation. Some smell is normal initially.
- Inspect interior: Once cool, check for food spills, grease, or foil on or near the elements. Clean with a suitable oven cleaner (avoid spraying directly on elements).
- Check for foreign objects: Look for plastic trays, packaging, or utensils that may have been left inside and melted. Remove and clean residue.
- Wiring inspection: If the smell is electrical (sharp, acrid) and persists, remove the rear cover and inspect wiring and connectors for overheating. Replace any burnt connectors and investigate cause (loose connections, overcurrent).
