Possible Causes
One leg of 240V power missing, Weak or partially open bake element, Faulty relay on EOC, Door gasket leaking heat
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before inspecting wiring or elements.
- Check both elements: During preheat, both bake and broil elements may cycle. If one never glows, test it for continuity and replace if open.
- Verify power supply: Have a qualified person measure voltage at the terminal block. You should see ~240V across the two hot legs. If only 120V is present, an electrical issue exists outside the oven.
- Inspect door gasket: Replace a damaged gasket that allows heat to escape.
- Control board: If elements and power are good, the EOC may not be energizing both elements properly. Replace the electronic oven control if confirmed.
When to call a technician: For live voltage checks and control diagnostics, professional service is recommended.
