Possible Causes
Open bake element, burnt wire at bake element terminal, failed bake relay on EOC, open high-limit thermostat in bake circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power before removing the element or rear panel.
- Inspect bake element: Look for visible breaks or burn spots. Remove screws and gently pull element forward to inspect terminals.
- Check wiring: Inspect wires connected to the element for burns or loose connections. Repair or replace damaged wires with high-temperature wire.
- Test element: Measure resistance; replace if open.
- Check high-limit: Locate any inline thermostats or thermal cutoffs in the bake circuit and test for continuity.
- Replace EOC: If all components test good, the bake relay on the control may have failed and the EOC should be replaced.
