Possible Causes

Open upper oven sensor, broken sensor wiring, loose connector at EOC, failed EOC sensor circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety First: Disconnect power before accessing the oven cavity or rear panel.

  • Identify upper sensor: On double ovens, the upper cavity has its own sensor on the back wall. Remove mounting screws and gently pull sensor forward.
  • Test resistance: Unplug the sensor and measure resistance at room temperature. Expect ~1050–1100 Ω. Infinite resistance indicates an open sensor.
  • Check harness: Inspect the wiring from the sensor to the control board for breaks or burnt spots. Verify connectors are fully seated at the EOC.
  • Replace sensor: If the sensor is open or out of spec, replace the upper oven temperature sensor. If wiring and sensor are good, replace the EOC.
