Possible Causes

Failed oven sensor, damaged sensor harness, loose connector, failed EOC sensor circuit

Safety First: Turn off power at the breaker before testing.

Access sensor: Remove the sensor mounting screws inside the oven and pull sensor forward.
Measure resistance: Unplug sensor and measure resistance at room temperature (~1050–1100 Ω). Very high or very low readings indicate a bad sensor.
Inspect wiring: Check harness and connectors between sensor and control for damage.
Replace sensor: Install a new Maytag oven temperature sensor if readings are out of range. If sensor and wiring are good, replace the EOC.
