Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power if you need to remove the control panel.
Try normal unlock procedure:
- Press and hold the designated Child Lock or Lock key for 3–5 seconds (refer to your user manual) to attempt to clear the lock.
- If the lock will not clear, proceed to inspect the keypad.
Inspect keypad and ribbon cable:
- Remove the control panel cover to access the touch control panel and ribbon cable.
- Check for signs of liquid ingress, corrosion, or physical damage.
- Disconnect and clean the ribbon cable contacts with electronics cleaner.
- If the lock key area feels sunken or permanently pressed, replace the touch control panel.
If replacing the keypad does not resolve E14, the main control board may be misreading the inputs and should be replaced.
