Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker. High voltage is present at the terminal block; only work on it if you are comfortable and have a multimeter.
Check supply voltage and connections:
- Remove the rear cover to access the terminal block where the power cord connects.
- Inspect for burnt wires, melted plastic, or loose screws.
- Tighten any loose terminal screws and replace any burnt connectors or damaged power cord.
- With power restored (use extreme caution), measure voltage at the terminal block: for many Midea ovens this should be around 220–240 V AC (or per your region's specification).
- If voltage is outside the acceptable range, contact an electrician to correct the supply.
If the supply and connections are good but E5 persists, the main control board internal power supply may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
