How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker and allow the oven to cool.
Inspect convection fan:
- Remove the oven racks and the rear interior panel to access the convection fan assembly.
- Check for food debris, foil, or screws obstructing the fan blades.
- Spin the fan by hand; it should rotate freely without grinding.
- If stiff or noisy, the fan motor is likely failing and should be replaced.
Check wiring and power:
- From the rear of the oven, access the fan motor wiring harness.
- Inspect for burnt or broken wires and secure all connectors.
- If you have a multimeter and wiring diagram, test for proper voltage at the fan motor terminals when convection is commanded on (use caution; live voltage).
- If voltage is present but the fan does not run, replace the convection fan motor.
- If no voltage is present, the main control board fan relay may be defective.
