Possible Causes

Tripped thermal fuse or high-limit thermostat, Open main heating elements, Faulty main control board relays, Loose or burnt connections at terminal block

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and verify no voltage is present before removing panels.

Check power and safety devices:

  • Inspect the terminal block for burnt wires or loose screws; repair as needed.
  • Locate and test the thermal fuse and high-limit thermostats for continuity. Replace any that are open.

Test heating elements:

  • Access the upper and lower elements from inside the cavity and rear panel.
  • Disconnect one wire from each element and test for continuity.
  • Replace any open elements with the correct Midea part.

If all elements and safety devices are good, the main control board is likely not sending power to the elements and should be replaced.
