Possible Causes

Shorted heating element to chassis, Damaged wiring insulation touching metal, Shorted cooling or convection fan motor, Faulty main control board causing a direct short

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a breaker that trips; this indicates a dangerous fault. Turn off power and leave it off until the issue is found.

Inspect elements and wiring:

  • Remove power and access the bake and grill elements from inside and rear.
  • Look for spots where the element sheath has cracked and touches the oven cavity.
  • Inspect wiring harnesses for melted insulation or contact with sharp metal edges.

Test components:

  • Disconnect each suspect component (elements, fan motors) one at a time and test for continuity to ground with a multimeter.
  • Replace any component that shows a short to chassis.

If no component is shorted, the main control board may have an internal short and should be replaced.
