Oven display shows door-related error; oven will not start or pyrolytic cleaning is blocked.

Safety first: Disconnect power. Do not force the door; internal lock components can be damaged.

• Check door closure: Ensure the door closes fully and evenly. Inspect hinges and the latch striker for bending or misalignment. Adjust or replace hinges if the door sags.
• Test door contact switch: Locate the door switch in the front frame. With power off, test continuity while opening and closing the door. Replace if intermittent or non-functional.
• Inspect door lock assembly: For pyrolytic models, access the lock mechanism from the top or front panel. Check the lock motor, latch, and microswitches. Look for broken plastic parts or jammed linkages. Replace the door lock assembly if it does not move freely or the motor is open-circuit.
• Wiring check: Verify continuity from the lock assembly to the control board. Repair any broken or heat-damaged wires.

If the door is locked and will not open, many Miele models allow manual release from the top once the cover is removed. If unsure, contact Miele service to avoid damage.
