Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, Jammed fan blades, Faulty fan relay on control board, Loose wiring to fan motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool before removing the rear inner panel.
- Access the convection fan: Remove the screws holding the rear inner cover inside the cavity. Carefully pull off the cover to expose the fan and circular heater.
- Inspect fan blades: Check for heavy grease buildup or foreign objects obstructing the fan. Clean the blades thoroughly and remove obstructions.
- Test motor: Spin the fan by hand; it should rotate freely. If stiff or seized, the motor bearings are likely worn and the fan motor assembly should be replaced.
- Electrical test: With power off, measure resistance of the fan motor windings. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Also inspect wiring and connectors for heat damage.
After replacement, run a fan-assisted mode and listen for smooth, quiet operation.
