Clock/timer cannot be set or loses time; oven functions may be locked out.

Safety first: If only the clock is affected and the oven otherwise works, no internal access is immediately required.

• Reset clock: Follow the user manual to reset the time and date. Confirm that the oven is not in a child lock or demo mode.
• Check power stability: Frequent power cuts or brownouts can cause time loss. Use a surge protector or consult an electrician if supply is unstable.
• Power cycle: Turn off the oven at the breaker for 5 minutes, then restore power and set the clock again. If the clock still drifts or cannot be set, the control module's clock circuit is likely defective.

Persistent clock faults usually require replacement of the main control module or display module, which is best handled by a Miele technician.
