Possible Causes

Damaged or open-circuit food probe, Dirty or oxidized probe socket, Broken wiring from socket to control, Faulty probe input on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal wiring. The probe itself can be handled safely when cool.

  • Inspect the probe: Check the cable and tip for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. If damaged, replace the probe with a genuine Miele core temperature sensor.
  • Clean the socket: Use a dry cloth or cotton swab to clean the probe jack inside the oven cavity. Ensure no food residue or moisture is present.
  • Test with new probe: If available, test the oven with a known-good probe. If the error persists, the socket or control input may be faulty.
  • Wiring and board: Access the rear of the probe socket and check continuity to the control board. Repair wiring or replace the socket assembly as needed.

Control board input failures for the probe are less common but may require module replacement.
