Oven door glass becomes excessively hot to touch during normal baking.

Safety first: Allow the oven to cool before touching or disassembling the door.

• Check cooling fan: During operation, you should feel warm air exiting above the door. If not, inspect and repair the cooling fan system.
• Inspect door glass: Verify that all glass panes are intact and correctly seated. If an inner pane is cracked or missing, replace the complete glass set or door assembly as specified by Miele.
• Clean vents: Ensure that front ventilation slots are not blocked by trim or debris.
• Door insulation: If the door feels unusually light or you hear loose insulation, the door may need to be disassembled and re-insulated or replaced.

Excessive outer glass temperature is a safety concern; if unsure, have the oven checked by a technician.
