Possible Causes
Tripped circuit breaker, Blown internal fuse on control board, Loose mains connection, Failed power supply section of control module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Before opening the appliance, ensure the breaker is off and verify absence of voltage.
- Check household breaker: Reset the breaker or replace the fuse supplying the oven. If it trips again immediately, there may be a short circuit.
- Inspect mains connection: Remove the terminal cover and check that the supply cable is firmly connected and not burnt.
- Internal fuse: Many Miele ovens have one or more internal fuses on the control board or power entry. Access the control area and test fuses with a multimeter. Replace only with identical rated fuses.
- Control power supply: If fuses and wiring are good but the display remains dead, the low-voltage power supply on the control board has likely failed. Replace the control module.
If the breaker continues to trip, do not repeatedly reset it; contact a qualified technician to locate the short.
