Possible Causes
Loose mains terminal block, Faulty mains filter (EMI filter), Internal power supply failure on control board, Damaged power cord
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven at the mains. High voltages are present at the terminal block.
Steps:
- Check supply: Verify that the wall isolator or cooker switch is supplying correct voltage and is not loose or burnt.
- Inspect terminal block: Remove the rear cover to access the oven's mains terminal block. Look for discoloured plastic, loose screws, or melted insulation.
- Tighten/replace: Tighten any loose terminals and replace the mains terminal block if heat damage is evident.
- Check mains filter: Many Morphy Richards ovens use an EMI filter module. Inspect for bulging capacitors or burn marks. Replace the mains filter module if faulty.
- Control board: If external connections are sound but E10 persists, the internal low-voltage power supply on the electronic control board may have failed and the board should be replaced.
Note: If you smell burning or see smoke, do not re-energise the oven until it has been inspected by a professional.
