Possible Causes

Incorrect mains voltage, loose terminal block connections, damaged mains cable, faulty power supply section on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the oven at the mains. Only perform live voltage checks if you are trained and competent.

  • Check household supply: Confirm that the circuit breaker has not tripped and that the correct voltage (usually 220–240 V AC in EU/UK) is present at the oven connection point.
  • Inspect terminal block: Pull the oven out and remove the rear cover to access the mains terminal block. Look for loose screws, discoloration, or melted plastic. Tighten any loose terminals.
  • Check mains cable: Inspect the oven power cable for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Replace if damaged.
  • Internal fuses: Some Neff models have internal fuses on the PCB. With power off, visually inspect for blown fuses and replace only with identical ratings.

If E005 persists despite a stable supply and sound connections, the power supply section of the main control board may be faulty and will likely require professional replacement.
