Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains power before removing the control panel.
- Power cycle: Turn off power for 10 minutes to allow the electronics to fully discharge, then restore power. Sometimes E006 clears after a reset.
- Check for moisture: If the error appeared after heavy steam cooking or cleaning, moisture may have entered the control area. Leave the oven powered off with the door open for several hours to dry out.
- Inspect control panel: Remove the front control fascia (usually held by screws from inside the door area). Check the touch panel and PCB for signs of corrosion, liquid damage, or burnt components.
- Ribbon cable check: Reseat the flat ribbon cable between the user interface board and the main control board. Ensure it is fully inserted and not damaged.
If the touch panel is unresponsive or visibly damaged, replace the user interface module. If a new UI does not resolve E006, the main control board may also need replacement.
