Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power before accessing the rear or internal panels.
- Confirm fan issue: Select a fan oven mode and listen for the convection fan. If silent or very noisy and E008 appears, suspect the fan circuit.
- Visual inspection: Remove the rear panel inside the oven cavity to expose the fan blade. Check for food debris or foil obstructing the fan.
- Spin test: With power off, spin the fan blade by hand. It should rotate freely. Stiff or grinding movement indicates worn bearings and a failing motor.
- Access motor: Pull the oven out and remove the rear cover to access the fan motor. Check wiring and connectors for heat damage.
- Continuity test: Measure resistance across the fan motor terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
Replace the convection fan motor if seized or open-circuit. If the motor is good but does not receive power, the fan relay or main PCB may be defective and should be checked by a technician.
