Faulty function selector switch, worn contacts, broken selector shaft, wiring fault between selector and PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains power before removing the control panel or knobs.

  • Check selector knob: Ensure the function knob is not cracked or slipping on the shaft. Replace the knob if it does not firmly engage.
  • Cycle through functions: With power on (no panels removed), slowly rotate the selector through all positions. If the display flickers or shows E011 on certain positions, the selector contacts may be worn.
  • Access selector switch: Remove the control panel to expose the rotary selector. Inspect for burnt contacts or mechanical damage.
  • Wiring check: Verify that all wires to the selector are firmly connected and not heat-damaged.

If the selector switch shows signs of wear or intermittent contact, replace it. If a new selector does not clear E011, the main control board may be misreading the selector inputs and require replacement.
