Failed grill element, faulty grill selector contact, burnt grill wiring, defective grill relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the grill element or control panel.
- Test grill: Set to full grill and wait a few minutes. If the element does not glow red and no heat is felt, suspect the grill circuit.
- Inspect grill element: Look for visible damage. Access terminals from the top or rear and test continuity.
- Selector check: Rotate the function selector while listening for relay clicks. If grill position is dead, the selector contacts may be worn.
Replace the grill element if open-circuit. If the element is good, further diagnosis of the selector and PCB is required.
