Possible Causes
Open-circuit fan oven element, burnt element terminals, loose wiring to fan element, failed heater relay on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains power before removing any panels.
- Visual check of fan element: Remove the oven shelves and the rear inner panel of the cavity (usually held by a few screws). Inspect the circular fan oven element around the fan. Look for breaks, bulges, or burn marks.
- Continuity test: Access the rear of the oven and locate the fan element terminals. Disconnect the wires and test the element with a multimeter. A healthy element will show continuity (typically 20–60 Ω). If open circuit, replace the element.
- Inspect wiring: Check for heat-damaged spade connectors or loose terminals on the element and at the control PCB. Clean and tighten or replace terminals as needed.
- Replace fan oven element: Unscrew the mounting screws inside the cavity, gently pull the element forward, transfer wires one by one to the new New World-compatible fan oven element, and refit.
- Control PCB: If the element and wiring are good but no power is sent to the element (check with a meter, only if you are competent and with extreme caution), the heater relay on the control PCB may be faulty and the board will need replacement.
