Possible Causes

Failed cooling fan motor, jammed fan blades, faulty fan triac/relay on PCB, broken fan wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains. Sharp metal edges are present; wear cut-resistant gloves.

  • Check fan movement: Access the top of the oven by removing the hob or top cover. Spin the cooling fan blades by hand; they should move freely. If stiff or seized, replace the fan motor.
  • Inspect wiring: Check the fan motor connectors and wiring back to the control PCB. Repair any breaks or heat damage.
  • Power test (advanced): If competent, with the oven reconnected and calling for heat, measure voltage at the fan motor terminals. If no voltage is present while the oven is hot, the PCB fan driver (relay/triac) may have failed and the board will need replacement.
  • Clean obstructions: Remove any insulation or debris fouling the fan blades.
