Possible Causes

Faulty pyro temperature sensor, failed pyro heater element, defective door lock motor, pyro safety thermostat open

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the oven is cold and isolated from mains. Pyrolytic systems reach very high temperatures; do not bypass safety devices.

  • Check door lock operation: Start a pyro cycle (with power on) and listen for the door lock motor. If the door does not lock, the control will abort and show F14. After stopping and isolating power, inspect the lock motor and linkage.
  • Inspect pyro sensor and thermostat: Many New World pyro ovens have a dedicated high-temperature sensor and safety thermostat. Access the rear/top of the oven and test these components for continuity and correct resistance.
  • Pyro element test: Locate the pyrolytic heater element (often around the cavity). Disconnect and test for continuity. Replace if open circuit.
  • Do not bypass safety: Never bridge out thermostats or locks to force a pyro cycle; this is dangerous. Replace faulty parts with correct New World components.
