Possible Causes
Heater or fan relay welded closed on PCB, selector switch internal short, miswired control connections
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains immediately; do not leave it powered in this condition.
- Inspect selector switch: On mechanical models, remove the control panel and check the selector switch for signs of melting or internal short. Replace if damaged.
- Check PCB relays: On electronic models, inspect the control PCB for stuck relays (contacts welded). If the fan or light is permanently energised, the PCB will need replacement.
- Verify wiring: Compare wiring to the New World wiring diagram to ensure no wires have been incorrectly reconnected after a previous repair.
