Possible Causes
Bent or worn door hinges, damaged hinge receivers in the cabinet, warped door frame, loose hinge screws
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the oven is cool before working on the door.
- Inspect hinges: Open the door and check both hinges for bending or excessive play. Compare left and right sides.
- Check hinge receivers: On built-in New World ovens, the hinges slot into receivers in the oven frame. Inspect for cracks or deformation.
- Tighten screws: Tighten any loose screws securing the hinges to the door and the receivers to the oven body.
- Replace hinges/receivers: If the door still sags or will not close, replace the pair of door hinges and, if worn, the hinge receivers with New World-specific parts.
