Possible Causes
Aged temperature sensor, thermostat calibration drift, control PCB calibration offset, incorrect positioning of sensor bulb
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power before accessing internal components.
- Verify with thermometer: Place an accurate oven thermometer in the centre of the cavity. Preheat to a known temperature (e.g., 180°C) and compare readings after stabilisation.
- Adjust user offset (if available): Some New World models allow a small temperature offset adjustment in the settings menu. Refer to the user manual.
- Check sensor/thermostat: Test the sensor resistance or thermostat operation. Replace if readings are outside specification.
- Reposition bulb: On capillary thermostats, ensure the sensing bulb is correctly clipped in its original location inside the cavity.
