Possible Causes
Defective touch control glass panel, Damaged keypad ribbon cable, Moisture ingress behind control panel, Faulty user interface board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains power before removing the control panel.
Steps to diagnose and fix:
- Check for moisture: If the error appeared after heavy steam cooking or cleaning, moisture may have entered behind the glass. Allow the oven to dry with the door open for several hours and see if the error clears after a power reset.
- Access control panel: Remove the screws securing the front control panel and gently pull it forward to expose the touch control board and ribbon cables.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Look for cracks, kinks, or discoloration on the flat ribbon cable connecting the touch panel to the control board. Reseat both ends firmly.
- Check for contamination: Dust, grease, or liquid residue on the back of the glass or on the touch board can cause false touches. Carefully clean with a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol, avoiding excess liquid.
- Replace touch panel or UI board: If specific keys do not respond or the error persists, replace the OBH Nordica-compatible touch control glass or user interface board as a complete assembly.
- Test: Reassemble, restore power, and verify that all buttons respond correctly and that E9 is cleared.
