Possible Causes

Failed clock module on control board, Corrupted timer settings after power surge, Faulty backup capacitor or battery on PCB, Damaged display/timer IC

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing the control panel.

Steps to attempt fix:

  • Reset clock: After a power cycle, attempt to set the clock and timer according to the user manual. Some F4 errors clear after a successful clock set.
  • Power cycle: Disconnect power for 10 minutes, then restore and check if F4 returns.
  • Inspect control panel: Remove the control panel and inspect the clock/timer section of the PCB for burnt components or swollen capacitors.
  • Check connectors: Reseat the ribbon cable between the display board and main PCB, if separate.
  • Replace control board or display module: If the clock cannot be set or F4 persists, replace the OBH Nordica-compatible control board or display/timer module as a unit.

Note: Some models integrate the timer into the main PCB; in that case, the entire board must be replaced.
