Possible Causes

Open-circuit bottom element, Loose or burnt bottom element connectors, Damaged wiring harness to bottom element, Faulty bottom heat relay on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect mains power and allow the oven to cool before accessing the bottom element.

Steps to diagnose and fix:

  • Access bottom element: Depending on the model, remove the rear panel and/or the oven floor panel inside the cavity to reach the bottom element and its terminals.
  • Inspect wiring: Look for burnt or loose connectors at the element terminals. Replace any damaged connectors and secure them firmly.
  • Test element: Disconnect one wire and measure resistance across the element. Infinite resistance indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
  • Replace bottom element: Remove mounting screws, pull the element out, connect the new OBH Nordica-compatible bottom element, and reinstall in the original position.
  • Control board check: If the element is good but does not energize, the bottom heat relay on the main control board may be faulty. Replace the PCB if required.
  • Test: Reassemble, restore power, and run a bottom-heat or conventional bake cycle to confirm that F6 is cleared and heating is even.
