Possible Causes
Failed main heating relay on control board, Open thermal cutoff or safety thermostat, Loose connection at power terminal block, Broken common wire feeding all elements
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before opening any panels. High voltage is present on heating circuits.
Steps to diagnose:
- Verify mode selection: Confirm that a valid cooking mode and temperature are selected and that the door is fully closed.
- Check terminal block: Access the rear terminal block and ensure all connections are tight and not burnt.
- Inspect thermal cutoffs: Locate any inline thermal fuses or safety thermostats on the top or rear of the cavity. Test for continuity with a multimeter. Replace any open devices with OBH Nordica-compatible parts.
- Check common feed wire: Trace the main feed wire from the terminal block to the elements. Look for breaks or burnt connectors and repair as needed.
- Control board relay: If all safety devices and wiring are intact, the main heating relay on the control board may have failed. Inspect for burnt contacts or cracked solder joints. Replace the main PCB if defective.
- Test: After repairs, reassemble, restore power, and test multiple modes (bake, grill, convection) to confirm heating is restored.
