Possible Causes
Open convection ring element, Burnt connector at convection element, Broken wiring to convection element, Faulty convection element relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power and allow the oven to cool before accessing the convection assembly.
Steps to diagnose and fix:
- Access convection element: Remove the inner rear panel inside the cavity to expose the convection fan and ring element.
- Inspect connectors: Check for burnt or loose connectors at the ring element terminals. Replace damaged connectors.
- Test element: Disconnect one wire and measure resistance across the ring element. Infinite resistance indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
- Replace element: Remove mounting screws, pull the element out, connect the new OBH Nordica-compatible convection ring element, and reinstall.
- Control board check: If the element is good but never energizes, the convection relay on the main PCB may be faulty. Replace the board if required.
- Test: Reassemble, restore power, and run a convection bake program to confirm proper heating.
